Software Requirements

The Enterprise Server Common Web Administration interface has specific software requirements, including a web browser with a minimum required version, such as Firefox version 153, Google Chrome version 151, or Microsoft Edge version 151. Note that Internet Explorer is not supported. Additionally, ESCWA only supports EDS version 2.0.34 or later and legacy MFDS version 1.25.37 or later. [1]

Connection Setup

To connect to Enterprise Server Common Web Administration, create and configure a connection in Server Explorer by specifying a name, server address, and port number. If the server connection is TLS-enabled, select TLS Enabled and specify a certificate. A connection attempt is made, and the ESCWA sign-on dialog box is displayed, requiring entry of credentials to complete the connection. [2]

Accessing ESCWA UI

The ESCWA UI can be opened from the IDE by right-clicking the required ESCWA node in Server Explorer and clicking Open Administration Page. This opens a browser outside of the IDE and opens Enterprise Server Common Web Administration, potentially prompting for security credentials. [3]

Platform Support and Configuration

ESCWA is supported on Windows and UNIX platforms. On UNIX platforms, ensure that the ESCWA log directory has write permissions, with the default log directory located at $COBDIR/etc. Directory Server uses port 86 by default, so configure any active firewall on the Directory Server machine to allow access to this port.
